To say it has nothing to do with jazz is a bit of an overstatement, but I understand your point nonetheless. Throughout history, jazz has always been about evolution and pushing boundaries. These pop/r&b/smooth jazz types (like Kenny G and the like) tend to be looked down upon by die hard jazz fans because they don't seem to take chances in their writing and/or playing... at least that's my view of it.

That's a bold claim to say something that is Pop / R&B has "nothing to do with jazz"... especially bold for this artist. What sort of jazz are you referring to? Jazz has a lot of different sounds.

Boney James has nothing to do with jazz. His music is insturmental Pop/ R & B. It's good for putting yourself to sleep....lol
