You know this is a good example of music "closed mindedness" for the lack of a better term. Music for some reason gets pigeon holed faster than any other medium. . I can name a few bluegrass bands that I think are amazing as well as some death metal bands....but nobody who looks at Picasso will say oh that Renoir was dick.

I just decided a good way to explain BTBAM's sound on Colors is the following: 2 parts Metalcore, 2 parts Estradasphere, and 1 part Opeth.
I welcome any other interpretations from people who have listened to the entire album a couple times.

That's a completely reasonable response to this music. This is one of those albums that's easy to dismiss quickly if you're not really listening closely. It's chaotic at times, but I never consider it to be 'noisy'. If you're unsure about this one, but still a bit curious, I'd suggest downloading just the 5th song (Ants of the Sky) at first, then going from there. Sometimes if I just need a quick fix, I'll listen to the second half of this album.

Initially, I thought what on Earth is Mike sending me, then I thought well maybe it's not so bad, then I got a what did they just do moment. Subsequently, I had to listen to the clip again. I don't know what to think of it... but I think you're on to something. They have my attention, that's for sure. Good find!
