Did you already have this album? Or was this another dan invoked purchase? If it was... I don't know how much longer I can keep up the pace... but I'll certainly try.

I was a bum and never took the time to listen to them. Then Dan approached me 2 years back with a ticket to see them live. Seeing an opportunity to go to a concert, I bought 3 of Porcupine Tree's albums and just started listening to them up until the show. Still not "knowing" their music, I had a great time hearing them play live for 3 hours.

I have grown to love these guys and really appreciate their uniqueness. Much different than any other group out there, but still considered good + heavy rock.

When it comes to rock (and all the sub-genres that entails) I'm usually more into heavier music than this, but anyone who knows music will undoubtedly comprehend the greatness of this album. Even during my second listen through, I found myself asking 'what just happened?' on several occasions. I also liked that each member plays an equally important role throughout the album.
