Not to be confused either with the German Kairos [String]Quartet also going since the 90s. Band sounds quite interesting, but they need a better name!

It is a little bit expensive, but it's nice to support the band since they are independent of a record company. I definitely recommend picking it up. I've had my copy for not even a month, yet I've listened to it at least 50 times. The disc lives in the CD player in my car.

I recommend Stoa, as it is my personal favorite of their albums.

Dude... Exivious has some members from Cynic?! I'm gonna give their music a little more of a listen at their website, but I'll probably buy this album... it's a little pricey given the shipping and Euro conversion rate, but this sounds awesome so far!

Nik Bärtsch's Ronin has my attention, but I need to listen a little more... 30 second samples just don't do justice for tracks this long. Which album would you recommend starting with?

I've never been much of a jazz listener (with the exception of my very used copy of A Charlie Brown Christmas Soundtrack by The Vince Gauraldi Trio), but since discovering this site, I've begun listening to jazz much more often, so thanks also for pointing out all these great artists for me. Maybe I can return the favor. Are you familiar with Nik Bärtsch's Ronin, or with Exivious?
