I actually think of Busta Rhymes, Rage Against The Machine, Mos Def, etc. All the skaters in my old neighborhood used to bump them and Lupe def would have fit into their collection. I was also inferencing that Backpacker style that Lupe carries.

I could've seen this guy in a free concert on campus in Spring '07 but I chose not to because I heard he was nominated for a Grammy, and usually that means you suck pretty bad.... I'm starting to rethink that decision. One question though - what does a skater lifestyle have to do with having a taste for Lupe? When I think of skater music I think of 311 and Sublime.
