I would love to see the tracks re-released on CD, but thanks to The Internets and our father, Techmology, I don't have to hold my breath. Though I sometimes fall into fits of asphyxia when "Third Eye live" kicks off with Timothy O'Leary's acid-infused incantations of thinking for yourself and questioning authority. It's all I can do to keep from belting out in rebellion...

Re: Salival | Tool

I'm quite pleased I picked this one up too. I haven't watched the DVD in years but that version of Push It is still one of my favorite Tool songs. It's amazing that they took a great song and were able to take it to an even higher level.

Though I should admit I laugh a little every time I hear the octave effect on Maynard's voice halfway through, it's much more prominent in the Salival version. Sounds like a chipmunk. :c)

Re: Salival | Tool

This is totally an obnoxious listeners dream album! When I first heard Push It being done as it was back in '01 or '02, I was simply blown away. The drums were on tablas (Indian drum set) and I started playing the song to all my Indian friends.

I'm so glad I got a copy of this from Dan back in the day. A few hundred dollars is steep!
