Good review i just got the album today, its brilliant, even better than i had hoped.
i seen GIAA at oxegen 2008 and have been hooked ever since, i cant wait to see them again this summer at oxegen as they have been announced to play again :)

Thank you both for the replies, really like your site and your approach to running it.

I'm not great at extracting exactly what elements I like about GIAA but I've always had a big problem getting into bands where I dislike the singer, I'd like Blink 182 but hate Greenday, like Slipknot, hate Metallica, kinda goes like that for most bands I listen to. I think GIAA helped me realise that I'm perhaps not as big a fan of singing as I'd assumed (love to do it myself of course). I think I just really love the music and no better band to experience that with than GIAA.

Seen them live a good 10 or 15 times, eagerly awaiting their show in The Academy next month, hope you guys get a chance to see them again next time they're in your area.

Even if we don't do one, like Dan suggests, we would love it if others gave us their thoughts on them and their albums. Especially from a fan and supporter like you. What did you find most interesting about GIAA?

When we saw them live, I loved their visual presentation. Really fits well with their music!

Nirav wrote an artist profile of them a while back.. It has a couple music videos of theirs as well. Given the two posts already, we'll probably only write on new released or shows we see... But you never know I guess.

Very exciting stuff. Can't believe they came out with a new album. These guys are just hard workers!

Def tablas (indian drums) at the beginning of Zodiac. Though they are much higher pitch that what most artists play them at. If you listen to Tool's Pushit off Salival, you can easily recognize the difference of how Danny Carey plays them vs. Lloyd. Indian artists play them more like how Carey did. Not to say Lloyd's version was bad or good, but just overall different.
