Thanks for posting this interview. I am also a huge Torcupine Tree and Pink Floyd fan. I could not make it to any of Riverside's concerts in North America in 2008. I really hope that they come here in 2010.

Always glad to hear another Riverside fan... especially if they like Porcupine Tree too! I really hope their upcoming album will help to make them less obscure. By the way, I'll have a review of ADHD posted Thursday next week (June 18th), and I'm very pleased with the album!

Riverside is absolutely up there with Porcupine Tree, which is my favorite band ever. I speak as one of the mid-40's demographic that you refer to...we were raised on good music and this is the reason we discovered Riverside even though they may be somewhat obscure. I hope that you are right and young people will find Riverside's music in the U.S.--it will give me hope that the younger generations can appreciate good music when they hear it... they have been deprived for too long :).
